Neighborhood Volunteer Connection

Help seniors and people with disabilities!

Neighborhood Volunteer Connection mobilizes volunteers year-round to assist seniors and people with disabilities by providing them with practical assistance in getting basic chores and home maintenance tasks completed. At the same time, the connection between volunteers and the people they assist decreases the isolation of those who are helped. This is just one of the ways that the Volunteer Center is helping to build a stronger community!

Volunteers will be connected to people served by the program and perform tasks such as raking, snow shoveling, lawn mowing, washing windows, and other outdoor tasks. A background check will be done on all volunteer applicants. Qualified volunteers will also be able to help people with indoor tasks such as vacuuming, dusting light fixtures, checking smoke detectors, and other tasks.
